Design Vision: Tropical modernism meets Dhaka's vibrant street life through a clever interplay of translucent surfaces and warm, earthy textures. The design employs a vertical sensibility with soaring floor-to-ceiling storage and elevated sleeping lofts that free precious floor space. A palette of sun-bleached teak, woven cane, and hand-glazed tiles creates an organic foundation, while strategic pops of indigo and saffron nod to the neighborhood's colorful market heritage.

Challenges & Solutions:

• Challenge: The narrow footprint needed to accommodate a family of four without feeling cramped

• Solution: A revolutionary "telescoping" wall system allows rooms to expand or contract as needed, with sliding panels that transform living spaces throughout the day

Client Collaboration: Designed for a young chef and her family, we incorporated professional kitchen features into minimal square footage, including a pull-out spice rack and compact induction cooktop. Their need for both private and communal spaces inspired our innovative zoning solutions.

Impact: The apartment now feels nearly double its actual size, with natural light bouncing between reflective surfaces and greenery softening hard edges.
